Melvil Dewey, Time Traveller
I was delighted to be asked by the many-talented Matthew Battles to create a comic for a book he is writing with Jeffery Schnapp for Harvard University Press, tentatively entitled “The Library After the Book”. I was really busy at that time when he asked, but frankly, when a man of Matthew Battles stature asks you to help him make a comic about a time-travelling steampunk Melvil Dewey, well, you can’t really say ‘No.’, you know?
